A Dirndl is a type of traditional dress worn in the alpine regions of Europe, namely Bavaria, Liechtenstein, Switzerland, Austria, and South Tyrol, It is based on the historical costume of Alpine peasants and over the centuries have become quite elaborate in design and the fashion statement of festivals and traditional gatherings. A Dirndl traditionally consists of a fitted bodice, blouse, full skirt, and an apron. Our Dirndl's are made of a fine cotton, with a designer trim on the neckline and include the apron. The co-ordinating Dirndl blouses have a lacey finish and perfectly complement the Dirndl dress. Blouses are sold separately.
